We’re delighted to announce that after a successful application to the Citizen Science program, we now have funding to produce ecology reports on the impact that the Thames Water TDRA scheme will have on both water and land.
The reports seek to highlight the fragile nature of the ecosystem and the range of plants and animals that could be permanently and negatively impacted if TDRA goes ahead.
Following this successful funding application, SOLAR is now aligned with other river groups, including Leander Sea Scouts and the Albany Centre, to begin water testing.
Local test results will help us build up a picture of the current water quality, push for future improvements and avoid increases in quality-reduction brought about by treated sewage.
