With the change in government in place, Save Our Land and River have written to the new Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to raise awareness of our concerns and opposition to the Teddington DRA scheme.
In the letter, which you can read a copy of of here we bring to the attention of the new Secretary of State the absolute lack of transparency around best value, the poor community engagement as well as the lack of environmental and social impact assessment.
At the same time, we recognise the need for future water resource demands however we identify to the Secretary of State, the more credible and sustainable solutions that should be place ahead of the DRA.
